hmm.. poor wording on my behalf there!
we cant bypass the chip, but to have as little done by them as possible would be ideal.
i think that having HQ player converting all formats to say 24/192 with the convolution filters i have made and being able to bypass any other format conversions would sound better than the chipset doing the conversion.
if its 2 chipsets it might actually be best to send it at 384 khz... might be fun to test.
