How to fix audio latency?

I experience the same with my Sony tv as Hanolthof - sound is late, so we need a video delay. I gonna buy a cable reciever and plug the phantoms to its optical out, not directly to the tv. By this the known Phantom latency of around 150ms will be offset by the video latency of the tv. If this is not enough you can use a Linux based vu+ reciever that allows for lip sync in both directions.
