Spark alternative

I ended up buying the full jRiver with a $10 discount code BUS010. I haven't really played about with settings as I don't understand what most of it does TBH. My music is all on ALAC format so sounds good to me.

I have an Auralic Altair (new release).  I plan to try the 2 golds with dialog.  Then, I will install the Altair by optical to compare.  The Altair gives me headphone jack with volume control and access to my music on the NAS.  Since the Phantoms will be bypassing the DAC's in the Altair, this may be overkill. The altair is $1899.00.  Just for grins, I will also try my CD Player with optical.  This is a well built $3500 CD player that I hope I can eliminate.  I will post my results after Friday.
