Day 3 and the sound is changing for the better. The treble seems to be more pronounced, but not in a harsh way. Percussion sounds more prominent, beautifully extended highs with not a hint of stress or hardness. I'm running SAM at 50% at the moment and bass is deep, fast and agile. All round the sound is improving. I thought it sounded good out of the box, but it just keeps getting better. Needless to say I am a very happy bunny. 
Edit: I can confirm that the 440 loses nothing at low volumes. Slam, power and emotion intact !
