According to the Introduction in its manual, the MC-3+USB sends output to AES and Toslink simultaneously:
There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off individual outputs so you can route an input signal to only one output device (not sure whether that's what you had in mind).
On the other hand, latency differences might be a problem if you want to use the Expert and Phantoms at the same time.
