I don't think that is the idea. The idea is that you get an outside tool (e.g. Dirac) to tell you where the dips and the bumps are in your room's frequency response. Once you have them figured out, you only plug the compensation for them into the Devialet config file once. As long as your room doesn't change or your equipment, you should not need to change the equalization. I agree it's not ideal, but then again, it is a freebie.
