Folks
I am running the Dev 170/200 with ML Ethos Speakers for nearly a year now and have spent a lot of time and effort to optimize it with cables (LS, Power, Digital etc.) and I think it is really a fascinating combination - far from whatever I have owned in the past 20 yrs (and this was decent high end stuff as well). However sometimes - depending on the recording - it can be a bit too direct and particularly with voices or strings a bit harsh.
What I find a bit astonishing is the fact that obviously many ML Owners have voted for SAM. To my underswtanding (I am not a technical expert) so far SAM only influences the bass, which in most MLs is active - meaning controlled by the speaker. So have I missed something - could SAM improve the MLs as well? Looking forward to comments and opinions.
