With DPM (ON) the Devialet sounds just right. Instruments sound right, there is a delicacy to them. The decay of piano notes is longer. I compared it to my class A/B power-pre setup and it is a close match. My speakers are Sonus Faber Olympica I so can't really expect much bass from a two-way design. I find the with DPM(OFF) I have the tendency to multitask more and when (ON) the sound is more relaxing.
