No soldering flux present I assure you but moreover simply where the iron touched PCB paint while hot and circuit board was chucked in a vise and I was holding the soldering iron to the top side (pictured) with my left hand and trying to keep solder flowing while simultaneously pulling the stubborn barbed PEM female spade connectors through the board from underneath with needle nose pliars in my right hand. That's as clean as I could get the area afterwards without removing scorched paint. Sadly unavoidable in this case but no worse than a half dozen places on the OEM boards that jump to mind like this one on the PSU below. While the imperfection bothers me the connection is sound and I have no issues being human, fallible, less than perfect and providing pics that are capable of magnification showing warts and all bigger than life.
