No S/PDIF Out on 800?

OK, thanks, I discovered this in the configurator. Losing additional inputs is not too bad for my setup.

However, an RCA to XLR cable brings up the impedance question: 75 or 110 ohm?

I remember this issue has been discussed in this forum but without a real solution.

About the 75 vs 110 ohm I remember Thierry (@ Devialet) telling me that a 75 ohm cable should be used and their proprietary solution at the AES/EBU side will handle the impedance issue.

Then the issue remains, how to solder the two RCA strands to the three XLR pins, or the other way round, the three balanced strands to the two RCA pins? I remember having done this for analog cables in the distant past, but never for digital.
