The only thing I think might be a problem is that the Devialet's SMPS can inject noise back into your mains which might affect other equipment, though even this is unlikely.

As we say, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

Hi Matt, myself and Rufus have measured the Devialet using an AudioPrism Noise Sniffer and it was literally off the chart.

This evidently contradicts a white paper they published a few years ago which stated that their SMPS was incredibly quiet. I don't remember the exact details off the top of my head but the Noise Sniffer thing did surprise me at the time.

Just putting it out there so to speak...Smile

Cheers, Guillaume, that confirms some other reports I've heard. How do you think this is best treated?
Matt

Well in my case I run separate spurs to each Devialet and my MiND 180. Couldn't tell you how much of a difference it makes but it makes me feel a lot better. Wink

Actually I'm being a little modest here... I used to have a dedicated ring main and ran my Devialets off that for a few months. Then I decided to go completely OTT and put in a dedicated CU and separate spurs (6mm T&E) with posh Furutech sockets. It felt like the most cost effective upgrade I ever did. Certainly cost a lot less than a typical audiophile upgrade/tweak!
