Speaker advice please?
#12
I think I was at Bristol that year and heard this system, was there a 250 driving some big classic Spendors in the room next door? If so my memory of the D7 system was it sounded clean and clear, not warm. Can you remember what tracks you heard there, and what do they sound like at home?

I've demed the D7s a couple of times, I think they are very good, to me they sound very neutral and high resolution, the only real criticism I had was the treble could be a little sharp at times. I could never quite tell if it was a speaker fault, or it was telling the truth about what was on the recording.

Have you tried turning the treble down a small amount using the amp controls?

If you want something warmer sounding I'd look to the more classic BBC designs or Sonus Faber.
