Lumin streamers will be RoonReady.

I can find an exact price in the UK, £4595 from Analogue Seduction. (who are a very fine non-Devialet dealer by the way, recomended) In the UK at least, it looks like there are no dealers that stock both Lumin and dCS, so getting a 'head to head' trial of these two would be tricky, though not impossible. I suspect that another parallel with the dCS is that it looks like the Lumin will be RoonReady, but there are no signs that it will support HQPlayer's NAA protocol. There is still a lot to be said for using a microRendu or sOTM-SMS-200 and a Mutec. Personally, if I was offered the Lumin or dCS for a years free trial, I'd take the dCS. This is a personal thing, the dCS supports AirPlay, which I would use on occasion. The Lumin does look good though, and in terms of connectivity it looks perfect for a Devialet Expert. I also note that the Lumin is a little more than just a 'network endpoint', as it will upsample between any supported rates. If it can perform half as well as the dCS Vivaldi upsampler at this price, it might just be the killer front end for the price. Interesting!
