I'm not sure if it's the lower or higher frequencies that hurt the signal the most. I guess Totaldac knows as they also have developed a USB signal and power filtering filtering unit that I now know from personal experience works like a charm! Smile

Liking the cable eh? Wink

Haha, I do! Smile I did hesitate though if I'd keep it. At first I thought it took away a bit of “life” and "vibrancy" but I now think it’s again the removal of some high frequency noise due to the built in filter. As you know I have already tuned and tweaked my PC based music server quite far which already reduced HF glare significantly but this seems to have been the final (if that even exists!) measure to deal with the HF noise “riding on” the highs. I do agree with some of the reviews though that the cable could be a bit too much for darker sounding sets or sets that were previously tuned to actually having this HF noise present.

After listening to it over some days I recognized that the last (mostly very commercial) recordings in which I thought the highs were unnatural previously, are actually OK now (I shouldn't have blamed the recording themselves, again, I've made that mistake many times before). So it didn't tip the scale the wrong way and I emailed Vincent I'd like to keep the cable.
