I own a pair of Jamo R907 dipole speakers, and want to upgrade my stereo.
I wanted to buy the Gato audio dia250, but seen the Devialet D120.
The power output of the D120 is significantly less than the Dia250. I would like your opinion whether the D120 van drive my speakers properly
Mike
I used to have a D120 until a couple of weeks ago driving a 88dB / 2.81V sensitivity like your R907.
According to https://www.stereophile.com/content/jamo...asurements the impedance never goes below 3 Ohms, making them not to hard to drive for the Amplifier, so I don't think it should be any problem and I would personally pick any Devialet over any other amplifier.
Of course the more power the better, although 3dB is hardly heard and I have never felt my D120 to be underpowered.
Last but not least, I find SAM (which is a Devialet exclusive) to be a great improvement in terms of bass accuracy. And there is a SAM profile for your speakers: https://fr.devialet.com/sam-ready-encein.../jamo-r907
