Another connection question from an audio noob for optical direct mode; 
optical out with toslink of the bluray player, splitter, 2 toslinks to both the Phantoms? That would work to get the audio over the Phantoms?

Should work like a charm!
Would be nice but I have the original Silver Phantoms, 5 years old, no DOS installed. Does dat make any difference, or is optical direct mode not available on the old Phantoms?
