My apologies for any confusion and for any further confusion that may follow.
Analogue, of course, is not digital and as such is not limited, or at least not in the way that digital is.
I was answering the OPs question about which Lumin D2 output would handle 384kHz, or, put another way, which output would not downsample the 384kHz digital signal.
Only the analogue output will do that but, clearly, only after the D2 has converted the digital signal.
I hope that is clearer but probably only if you are on my wavelength. ?
