MacBook Pro Ethernet D120 Expert

Yes, you can do that.

You need to make a config file with the ethernet input enabled or you could use the factory config if you just want to test it out and you could then make a config file later

In the Configurator there are 2 options for the ethernet input. The first is "Advanced Settings" and the default is DHCP On. You don't need to worry about the other settings if you leave DHCP set to On, you only need to complete the other settings if you turn DHCP Off. I have my 140 configured with DHCP On and that works fine for me. If you want to use manual network settings you turn DHCP off and enter the settings for your Devialet

The second set of options is Special Modes. I've never used any of them but and you should have no need for Pass thru or Trig Out but you may want to use Auto Dim if you want to dim the Devialet's display window. I've never used ICM (Intelligent Cinema Mode) and have no idea what it does.

The only thing you need to worry about really is keeping a live internet connection to your MacBook because Roon uses the internet connection to get some data from the net and also for streaming if you use any of its streaming services.
Roon Nucleus+, Devilalet Expert 140 Pro CI, Focal Sopra 2, PS Audio P12, Keces P8 LPS, Uptone Audio EtherREGEN with optical fibre link to my router, Shunyata Alpha NR and Sigma NR power cables, Shunyata Sigma ethernet cables, Shunyata Alpha V2 speaker cables, Grand Prix Audio Monaco rack, RealTRAPS acoustic treatment.
