Well like I said everything worked OK until just recently and I can't figure out what happened, apart from iOS and Android upgrades.
I have one TP-Link AC1750 RE450 range extender but I've tried powering that down to ensure the D200 and devices running the app are connecting to the same physical access point, but the problem as described above persists, so it's not that.
My main router is a Huawei B310 4G LTE router with wi-fi on 2.4GHz.
EDIT - SOLVED
One thing changed - my ISP. I now use Vodafone 4G and my internet gateway changed from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.8.1.
The D200 wi-fi configuration was stuck on 192.168.1.1 with the D200 on a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.200. Updated these two parameters to reflect the new gateway settings and everything now works. Idiot!
