That setup would give you an imbalance in the bass region that would take digital room correction to solve, but other than that should sound good. A DSPeaker unit like the antimode 2.0 would probably do the trick. It has Toslink output so can interface directly with Phantoms. I would not worry too much about the wall by the sofa.
