I'm sure it's not just a slab of wood. What's underneath that laminate?

Looks very nice ... cool
I wanted to position my 800 one on top of the other just was afraid it'll get too hot or will suffer from interference... any thoughts ?

Thanks. Smile Devialet have always maintained that this is fine.

In the distant past (2013) I did compare both stacked and on different shelves and found there to be a small advantage to the latter. 

Try both and see which you prefer.

The Rosewood and Copper of the O d'A looks fantastic. I still think that the O d'A is the best of the Devialet bunch.
