Hey Mike,
Thanks for the insights!
Problem with smaller hifi markets like Singapore is that we do not have plenty of cable choices we can take home for trials.
I have used copper cables for the longest time with Classe Audio and now Devialet. I have found that Devialet is extremely fussy with cables.
Would hope for more insights from fellow members!!

Voal, you're welcome!
This comes as a surprise: "Problem with smaller hifi markets like Singapore" ? Is it really smaller as last time I visited I had time over to go to for me the best ever HiFi market, the 7 storages of only HiFi and record shops at Coleman st!.

I do not know any other place more convenient than "Adelphi" for hifi shopping. A must place to visit for me when I travel to Singapore. And I will be there again in a months time.

I guess the grass is always greener over the other side.
For the locals in Singapore, Adelphi can sometimes be daunting due to some shops providing bad service or worse still, fleece with unreasonable mark-ups. Good thing is that there are new hifi shops that are much more reasonable in their pricing.
Hong Kong has a great hifi scene and shopping experience is incredible.
In China, a lot of hifi shops have the proper showrooms for listening to serious gears. Have fun checking out the photos of some hifi showrooms in Beijing - http://www.my-hiend.com/vbb/showthread.p...wave/page3
