Google Cast in Phantom?
#1
Does anyone know if Devialet Phantom will support Google Cast? It needs support in firmware for sure, but there may also be a minimum hardware requirement. I saw that e.g. Beoplay A5 will receive a software upgrade, which will enable support.

Advantages of Google Cast over Bluetooth is that it streams directly from the service (no loss in quality, no requirement of phone to be turned out). Advantages over Spotify Connect (which I know is planned for Phantom) is that it will work with any service that supports Google Cast in the app. It is also supposed to support multiroom, unlike Bluetooth, Spotify Connect or even Airplay. If enabled, hopefully a minimum of functionality is left to Spark. Spark just isn't up to standards ... and likely never will be when comparing to the development capabilities and budgets of Google, Sonos etc. - and actually ... why would Devialet spend costly resources on trying to copy what others already do extremely well?

Please note that I am not asking about Chromecast Audio - it's built-in support without a need for extra hardware that I am thinking of.
