'RoonReady' not coming to Devialet….
#7
I'm guessing 99% of the streamers on the market today are more powerful then what's inside the Expert and the biggest part of those 99% probably have general purpose CPU's, contain much more memory and run some kind of Linux distribution. People in general overestimate the computing capabilities of the Expert. Again it's not a streamer in it's basis.

BTW Devialet has gone the same way as other manufaturers with the Dialog. There's a a lot of reasons for that (cheap stand-alone hardware, can be replaced when obsolete but most important it can run open standards/open source software)

I'm curious to the answer of Roon though but I suspect their RAAT is also made for Linux only (besides Windows and OS X)
PS Audio P3, Shunyata ΞTRON Alpha Digital and HC/Furutech power cables, Paul Hynes SR7EHD-MR4, DIY Roon Server & Roon Endpoint running AudioLinux Headless, Phasure Lush^2 USB cable, Audioquest Diamond RJ/E ethernet, Uptone Audio etherREGEN, Mutec MC-3+ USB, Shunyata ΞTRON Anaconda Digital XLR AES/EBU, Devialet Expert 250 Pro CI, Nordost Tyr Reference LS cables, Von Schweikert VR-5 SE Anniversary Edition, Anti-Mode Dual Core 2.0, JL Audio Fathom F112.
