The Mutec is 6.2V. To be honest, I am not sure myself that it will work. There has been a little talk of trying it over on Computer Audiophile, there is a slight voltage miss mismatch but the Mutec does have an internal regulator, there is also a question mark over the Mutec's current requirement. So maybe it will work, maybe not. One thing is for sure, I will not be the first to try it, I'll leave that privilege to someone braver than me! If you read through Antoine's system thread you will see that he has successfully removed the SMPS from his Mutec and is powering from a Paul Hynes LPSU, so in principle it can be done, but I'm not sure about it working with an LPS-1.
