Question about d 200 subwoofer output

Thanks for the link.

Which do you find best for running a single sub; mono or stereo output (my Sub1 can take Stereo RCA's).

Also not sure what figure to put in the configurator for 'Relative Level', as it's in Vrms, and Paradigm input sensitivity is 100mV.

Cheers
John

Someone once reported a very big improvement using the stereo pre-out to sub, as in clearly more bass. After that I've tried it as well but I couldn't hear or measure any difference compared to a mono out. I guess he screwed up some setting or his sub works different than mine. Since I was lazy and had already bought and connected the long subwoofer interlink I'm still playing like this but at least in my situation it isn't necessary or beneficial.

I think it's best to experiment a little with the output voltage. Since the input sensitivity of the Paradigm is quite high I'd lower the voltage setting in the Devialet config. Perhaps start with 1.0V or 0.5V. This way your sub amp won't have to work as hard. In theory an output voltage of 0.2V would be ideal but if it's ideal in practice as well is hard to tell since your sub probably has volume control as well.
