Haha, yes the Intona is "butt ugly", but effective. Since it's used between a source and the Devialet I think in most cases it will be out of sight. It was here, at least.

I still have the Intona (the industrial version) but I'm currently not using it. I'm using the Mutec MC-3+ USB now (USB in, AES/EBU out into the D250) which is the absolute best I've tried (another device from Germany ), though I am planning to try and test the Intona in front of it later. My Intona needs a firmware update first to become compatible with the Mutec and I have to send it back to Germany for that. Will do so in a few weeks.

And yes, I indeed used the Curious USB cables with it, one short 0.2m one called the 'Regen link' and a longer 0.8m.

Antoine, did you have any issue using the Intona direct to the Devialet - like when the Devialet gets power or input cycled?

I see on their website they're saying they have a fix for the current models which makes them 99% likely to work with devices, so I assume it should be OK anyway…

The Intona seems like it might be worth a try for my next phase of self-enlightenment, and is also about the cheapest...
