I strongly support most of what you said, except your conclusion on OdA, where I am supporting of the views of Guillaume.

Having said that, if you look at this program as you would at a trade-in program, you have the possibility to get (based on the prices in EUR):

• 60% trade-in value for you old machine in case you are buying a new 220 or 440 PRO 
  
• 80% trade-in value for you old machine in case you are buying a new 1000 PRO
  

which is absolutely great IMHO.

But you are absolutely free not to participate and should not feel angry for that. This remains your discretionary decision.

My OdA conclusions were intended to be purely financial ones and I pretty much agree with Guillaume as to the related impacts.

I'd not appreciated the existence of the 60%/80% program which is clearly worth thinking about for those who want the 220, the 440 or the 1000, which I guess is most of the market!

Hi Ian,

To be even more precise, the 60%/80% program as you call it is a way to look at the current upgrade program if you calculate the upgrade price as a % of the new machines price.

• To get a 220 PRO (from a D200 or D120), you have to spend 3'490 EUR, which is roughly 40% of the price of the new machine which is 8'490 EUR. So you get a 60% trade-in value for your old machine.
  
• To get a 440 PRO (from a D400), you have to spend 5'990 EUR, which is roughly 40% of the price of the new machine which is 14'900 EUR. So you get a 60% trade-in value for your old machine.
  
• To get a 1000 PRO (from a D800), you have to spend 5'990 EUR, which is roughly 20% of the price of the new machine which is 27'900 EUR. So you get a 80% trade-in value for your old machine.
