Devialet makes fantastic sounding products. So I give them a pass on this, and just focus on the music. I have two D200's and both have swirl polishing marks on them. So I think it is more common to find that kind of finish on these units. You might not get far with a change of case, but they should change the PSU. I would not be surprised if your unit does not make any noise when you finally get it back.
I think it is terrible that this "luxury" brand won't take care of this issue.
Although its not ideal, at least your 2 units match and have the same finish. (even if its the rough one}
Mine will be side by side and the downlighting in the room will make them look completely different.
I didn't think too much about the finish at the time as i thought all units were like that, but after getting my companion I'm really unhappy.
Also my dealer even said it was a b grade finish.
The companion is perfect.
It drives me mad.
The psu in the companion is only audible with my head right next to it.
I hear nothing from my listening chair.
The master on the other hand definitely needs something changed.
It's distracting and can be heard at low volume.
Even if they can't make it as quiet as my companion, they should be able to make some kind of improvement.
Instead they just say that they can't hear anything.
Absolutely ridiculous.

Anyone else notice the circular marks on their units?

Help me devialet chat community, you're my only hope
