You would have thought fixing sound quality issues would be top priority, but alas no... the AirPlay problem has been there for nearly a year. I'm pretty sure it is a software issue that can be fixed, but maybe not enough people have complained or noticed it for them to bother. Please open a ticket (if you haven't already) to add a bit more pressure and don't let them give you the run around. Hopefully, they will admit that it is a known problem. I might open another one myself to see what's happening...
