The optical direct mode is also available for DOS1. You'll need an IPhone and the Phantom app, not Spark.
1: launch Phantom app (not Spark)
2: restart Phantom (3 clicks)
3: pair Phantom with app
4: on app, tap ten times between “mute” and “night” icons
5: select Optical Direct mode
6: select channel (L/R/mix)
7: select max. output level 0dB/-12dB
I haven't tried this "recipe" myself, but it should work.
Are your speakers too old for the DOS2 update?

. I still work with the Dialog on Spark. Works like a charm so far. A bit afraid to disturb the perfect working situation. I believe the change to DOS1 is not without its problems? Is direct optical out also an option in tne basic standard setup with the dialog?
