My wife thinks it sounds better -- more crisp and lifelike -- than it did before. Again I'm not sure how accurate these judgements can be given the listening hiatus, but she is perfectly happy to say things sound worse or that there is no change when they sound worse or there is no change.
On temperature, it feels hotter to me than it did before. But I didn't check this carefully.
