Looking back I see 9 series and 10 series updates in 2015/2016? Both had practically zero new features....
Perhaps they’ve abandoned development. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe they mentioned something at Munich as part of their new OCP (open communication philosophy)?
My guess is that the Expert line won't ever again receive a firmware upgrade. I suspect that one needs the Expert Pro line to see evolutionary progress. I am grateful that my original Dev170 is now a Dev200 via firmware upgrade and that the device is rock-solid stable. Plus, with the addition of Roon and its magical integration with Devialet Air, I am a happy camper. Now, if Devialet ever decided to add MQA rendering to its DAC -- not sure it's possible -- I wouldn't complain!
