Being a dCS fanboy I bought a dCS Network Bridge which has Roon RAAT built in. I found it sounding very nice but not sure if it is much better than Roon over Devialet Air. I am not good with A/B tests.
What I found surprising is that Roon over RAAT is not necessarily more reliable than Roon over Devialet Air. In fact, Roon over the dCS tends to disappear randomly from track to track, often requiring a reboot of the dCS to work again.
So while we think RAAT will solve all the world's problem that is not necessarily the case. I think bugs and occasional crashes are what we may have to live with when it comes to computer Audio.
