I think part of the problem is that to a large extent the amp isn't the ideal choice for people who like to do experiments with their system.
In common with active speakers, which almost certainly give better SQ than separates of anything like the same price, the Devialet is "fit and use" so not as popular amongst hobbyists who may like to try mix and match of DAC, preamp and power amp.
I like having the extra power over the D-Premier but otherwise I would be happy back with the pair of them I had 10 years ago...

Devialet Original d'Atelier 44 Core, Job Pre/225, Goldmund PH2, Goldmund Reference/T3f /Ortofon A90, Goldmund Mimesis 36+ & Chord Blu, iMac/Air, Lynx Theta, Tune Audio Anima, Goldmund Epilog 1&2, REL Studio. Dialog, Silver Phantoms, Branch stands, copper cables (mainly).
