Vivid Audio B1 or 1.5 with D220Pro

I am still on the search for Vivid Audio speakers. I have my eye on an K1 which has damage on one side so it has to be fixed. Anyone have experience with a scratch and fixing it and what is the difference in SQ to be expected between an B1 or an K1? I have an Expert 220 Pro CI.

I own a pair of B1 Decade speakers and received with them a small bottle of paint.  One may use very fine sandpaper to even out any scratches and then apply the paint.  It won't be perfect but it'll be better.  I've successfully communicated with one of the owners of Vivid in South Africa to make inquiries about repairs and other matters.  His name is Philip Guttentag (peg1248@gmail.com).

 As to your SQ question, I've never heard the original B1s nor the K1s, so can't help there.
