Is there a big difference in sound the gold vs the reactor 900?

So the gold will for sure sound better?Even at low volume?Because the reactor has a loudness compesation what the golds dont have..

I routinely listen with a pair of Golds at low volume levels (25 - 30 ish) in a roughly ~ 13' x 14' x 15' ish space and am very happy.  Previously tried the trees and currently use the geckos and prefer the geckos mounted about 1' from the corners on one end of the space. Nice balance of tones and great sound-stage.  Putting them near the corner has worked very very well with low (and high) volume.  Obviously at low volume the bass is not felt in your bones like at higher volumes but still hear plenty of bass in my ears.

From my experiments the specific PLACEMENT of the speakers has a MUCH larger impact than comparing the gold to the silver.  I've not heard the reactors so dont have a good frame of reference to compare for the original question, but with proper placement low volume listening is a like wearing a nice pair of head phones.
