Hi all. Just wanted to share a great find - this active optical USB cable:

This is a newer model optical USB cable designed for "Hi-Fi" audiophile usage. Unlike most active optical USB cables, this cable has no copper connection between the sending and receiving end for the power.
The receiving side is powered only by external 5V power (power supply not included). So you can use a high quality 5V power supply which is electrically isolated from the PC / source side.
I'm using it between my PC and USB DDC (Singxer SU-6) with amazing results.
Do note that it only supports USB 3.0 on the source side. It doesn't work with USB 2.0 on the source (PC) side. But it does work with USB 2.0 on the receiver (DAC / DDC) side.
It was quite difficult to find an online retailer selling it. It seems to be sold on some Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese e-commerce sites though. I got from a local e-commerce site that had it shipped from China. The price was quite reasonable, roughly USD 230 for the 2m version.
