Thank you for the response. Another question I have is concerning the extended warranty. Are the phantoms generally reliable or would you recommend getting the extended warranty. Kind regards, Manuel

I am still using my Phantom Golds (predecessor to 108 dB) bought 2017 when I traded in my Classics.  The only problems I have had in that time have been software-related, no hardware reliability issues here and from reading the threads here for the last 5 years my impression is that is true across the board.

Agree with the others above, if refurb enables you to go for stereo do it.  Otherwise the differences are small and non-functional (i.e. they sound the same).

Thank you for all the answers. I bought one of the refurbished Phantom 1s. I didnt go for a stereo pair of 2s because i wouldlike to keep the door open to buy another P1 sometime down the line to eventually have a stereo pair of those. At the moment iam waiting for the package to arrive. Could not be more excited!!
