I agree that UK price looks high - about £1000 more than the similar Naim Unitiserve which also includes an optical drive and ripping s/w (though Naim seem to have no intention of adding support for online music services to the Unitiserve). I had actually thought the Naim was about £1000 over priced
Still, the Aurender does seem to be a high quality product and by all reports sounds great so it must be worth considering.
