Apple Mac Mini with J. River

I'm thinking of getting a Mac Mini, which will connect to my TV via HDMI and to the Devialet via Ethernet (I have a Gigabit Ethernet switch in my audio rack) along with a wireless mouse & keyboard for the Mac Mini.

The Mac Mini would run J. River since I do not use iTunes and all my music files are FLAC.

Would such a setup make sense?

i had this setup, running Windows on the Mini and JRiver via JRemote. My music was on an external USB drive.
When it was working it was fine, but I ran it headless so it was a bit painful having to VNC in every time I needed to change something with JRiver. For you this should be straightforward via the TV.
I can't see any real problem for you, except the comment about OSX JRiver above.

eventually I got fed up with computer tweaking and bought an Aurender. (do you want to buy my Mini ? ?)
