Personally I feel that the delay feature is a really good one. Something that I've needed to address timing issues with my subwoofer.

How you can know what is the value you needed ?

I am new to this but believe the range of 0-20000 is in micro seconds.
If the SW is located 9 feet closer to your listening position than your main speakers, then you will need to delay the output of the SW by 9 milli-seconds (= 9000 micro seconds) to correct the timing between the mains, sw, and listening position.

No, haven't disabled the remote, but manually disabling the on/off button dramatically lowers the noise floor
