As long as the driver motor was not misaligned in the fall this sort of damage will not be audible, as you mention, just cosmetic.
Since the accident was you wife's doing, not a defect in the Phantom, I would be surprised if Devialet have any obligation to replace anything FOC, and it would presumably be fraud to return the damaged unit and reclaim the money from the credit card company, depending on which country you are in.
I think you are either going to have to pay for a repair (doesn't your house contents insurance cover accidental damage?) put up with the cosmetic damage whilst enjoying listening, or hope Devialet do a goodwill jesture...
