Interesting discussion about the effect ethernet cables can have and why from this post forward: http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f22-ne...post347743

It confirms my thoughts about ethernet not being a real time "audio prototocol" and thus that jitter is 'handled with' during buffering/reclocking but that the cable itself transmits noise into the DAC and it's ground planes that can lead to jitter upstream in the D/A process and noise in it's analog circuits.
