Optical digital quiet?
#2
Happens to me as well. With optical connection from a couple sources. Analog line in for the phantom ii is also much lower output. In theory I should be agnostic to just increasing the volume to get the levels that I want, but it’s clear there’s some compression happening when I do that. Not sure if somehow the setup of the hybrid amplifiers means the speaker isn’t the same at (low line in + high volume) vs (high line in + low volume). In theory they should be equivalent (I think?) but doesn’t seem to act that way. V curious if anyone has insight here.
