Only use ,1000mS AIR delay, and 0.1s Roon Resync delay.

Yesterday i replaced my router closer to the devialet. In the first days Air3 worked with Roon but i got the occasional dropout. This morning i started playing music and it still works perfectly.
I also use the setting you see up here. But i also think it is important the router isn't to far away from the dev.

I'm enyoing the soundquality of Air3 so much! Can't tell you what it is but everything i play seems to sound amazing. I was happy with usb but this is a different league for me. Didn't do a straight comparison so it could all be in my head ?

The AIR protocol and what makes it better than say UPnP? I'm guessing AIR 3 has had a few improvements to better manage some of the clock related bugs in OSX, this may also be resulting in less jitter, although the buffer in the Devialet should handle that. I suppose the less work the Devialet has to do the better it sounds? Who knows.

There seems to be so much air between the instrument when playing with Air3.

Since there are some Melco users here, can someone (maybe Rufus?) compare the SQ of AIR3 vs. Melco N1A (via USB)?

I have reinstalled AIR 3 and have tested first with iTunes for 1 hour - no problems.

Then I have tested AIR 3 with ROON and the settings written above. Only one short dropout at the beginning, then one hour without problems and great SQ. No Mac OS (10.11.4) crash anymore (without this specific settings I got them after 5 minutes) !

So for now it seems to be a "incompatibility" between AIR 3 and ROON, which can solved with specific settings.

I tried Air 3.0 beta with Roon.
Up to several minutes nice sound quality, then my Mac mini freezes completely. Then I to switch it off an on again. It doesn't matter if I use exclusive/direct mode in Roon or not.
I know it's beta software, but knowing Devialet I do not expect that this will be fixed in the final version.
And no, I do not think this acceptable.
I do expect Air to work with EVERY music manager. And Roon is not an exotic one.

Right, but this is a beta so please send your feedback to Devialet since this is not an official Devialet forum and I cannot guarantee that Devialet will see your post. That's if you haven't done so already! Thanks!

Aah yes, there is a hint in the name of this forum  
Let's hope they are able to fix it. The few minutes I was able to listen with AIR 3 really sound promising.
