Also note that not all 5Ghz connections are equal, and depending on the Band (VHT40/80 or 160) your data throughput
will greatly increase. I moved from VHT40 to VHT80 and my wifi is much faster now at a solid 833Mbs. Note that higher bands will lower the travel distance of the wifi signal, but if the Wifi Access Point sits in the same room its pretty safe to switch to VHT80 or even VHT160. I am using Ubiquiti AP’s, but some other wifi routers will have this option also.
