Yes, I've encountered it from time to time. If I remember correctly, it happened especially when turning on the amplifiers, if I didn't wait long enough for them all to turn on.
To synchronize them, it is not necessary to turn off the amplifiers. It is enough to turn the volume to minimum and that will synchronize them.
