Chrome Plating went Off
#21
Hi All,

My D120 is back at home for the second week now. There is something I noticed about the SQ. Maybe it's just something like the "I want to believe", but I think the sound is differnt, better than what it used to be before the repair.

The speakers I have are more on the analytic side, playing the whole spectrum, including a solid bass. But I used to lower the treble down to -3 before the repair, which was just about the chrome plating, nothing related to electronics.

And here is the change since the D is back from France: all seetings are at 0 (zero) now, including the treble. No more harshness, not too bright anymore, still revealing bad recordings in detail. The serial number is still the same, but something has changed for the good and I am pretty happy about it!

What did they do?
I don't care, it's better than before :-)

Cheers,
Ralf
