Is this possible? The xone only outputs with xlr or a balanced rca from what I can see which the devialet only accepts toslink. Is there such a converter that would convert a XLR signal to toslink (ideal?) or a balanced rca to toslink? If there is any recommendation introduce the least amount of lag and preserves quality?

The RME ADI-2 AD/DA or ADI-2FS AD/DA would do the trick. I've used the non FS model with success. Sounds splendid and introduces almost no delay.

The RME ADI-2 AD/DA is out of production and you can find it used for about €200.
